Contemporary Pole Dance Workshop with Tara Harmon

CONTEMPORARY POLE DANCE WORKSHOP:

- All levels welcome! This 1.5 hour workshop combines contemporary dance styles with pole fundamentals and techniques. In this workshop we'll cover:

- What contemporary dance is (for those who aren't familiar with it)

- How the style is incorporated into pole

- Proper footwear

- Differences in body positioning and weight distribution while dancing barefoot or in socks

- Followed by learning a short contemporary pole dance routine

WHAT TO WEAR + BRING:

- Clothes you can move freely in - yoga pants, sweats, pole shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, etc.

- Knee pads (if your knees are sensitive)

- No shoes, regular socks or grip socks are ok

- Water and a snack

- Phone stand, if you'd like to film
